Who we are

Carpenters.com.sg Pte Ltd, trading as Carpenters 匠, handles enquiries about interior-design and renovation services. This notice covers enquiries received through our website, Facebook and Instagram lead forms, and our business communication channels.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, phone number, email address, property details, renovation requirements, budget, key-collection timing, preferred appointment and any floor plans, photographs or messages you share. We also keep relevant communication records and contact preferences.

Please avoid sending unnecessary identity-document numbers, financial-account details or other people’s private information. If you provide another person’s details, please ensure you are authorised to do so.

Facebook and Instagram forms

When you submit a Carpenters instant form, Meta makes your submitted information available to us. Please check any pre-filled contact details before submitting. We also receive the lead reference, submission time and available advertising-source information.

We use Google Sheets to receive and organise these enquiries. Meta and Google also process information under their applicable terms and privacy notices.

How we use your information

We use relevant information to respond to your enquiry, understand your renovation needs, refer you to an appropriate manager or designer, arrange consultations and prepare requested proposals or quotations. We also use it to maintain communication records, avoid duplicate handoffs, respect your contact preferences, review enquiry handling and advertising results, address complaints and meet legal obligations.

An appointment request is subject to confirmation. Submitting an enquiry does not commit you to a renovation contract. We will explain materially different purposes and obtain consent where required.

Contact and marketing choices

We may contact you through the business communication channel you use or agree to for your enquiry, including telephone or WhatsApp where appropriate.

An enquiry is not permission for indefinite, unrelated promotional messages. Where separate consent or another legal basis is required for promotional contact, we will obtain or establish it first and honour applicable Do Not Call requirements. You can ask us to stop promotional messages at any time.

Who receives your information

We share relevant information with authorised staff, managers and designers handling your enquiry, and service providers supporting our forms, communications, storage and systems, including Meta and Google. No other Carpenters company receives these enquiries. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where required or permitted by law.

Service-provider access is limited to the services performed for us. This notice does not authorise unrelated businesses to use your enquiry for their own marketing.

Protection and overseas processing

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration or loss, and limit access to those who need it for their work. No online system is completely secure.

Some providers may process information outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data overseas, we will put in place the arrangements required under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act to provide comparable protection.

Retention

We retain information while needed for the purposes described above or relevant legal or business requirements. We review records and delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed. Project records may be retained for contract administration, accounting, warranty or disputes. Stopping marketing does not necessarily require deletion of records we must lawfully retain.

Your rights and privacy questions

You may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccuracies, withdrawal of consent, or assistance with a privacy concern. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity. Requests are subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions. We will explain relevant consequences of withdrawal, such as being unable to continue a requested service.

Updates

We may update this notice as our services or practices change. The published version will show its revision date. Where required, we will notify you or obtain consent for a new purpose.
